A combat decorated Marine Officer, Iraq veteran and entrepreneur, Zach served as the first officer in charge of Recruiting, Screening, Assessment, and Selection (RSAS) for the US Marine Corps Forces - Special Operations Command. He is the Executive Director of the Headstrong Project, a non-profit organization that provides cost-free and bureaucracy-free mental health care treatment to Iraq and Afghanistan veterans with PTSD and TBI.
Steve has been in the talent acquisition space for over 15 years managing Fortune 500 clients’ talent acquisition strategies. His experience includes running a division of TMP Worldwide and Monster.com. Steve has also been part of many start-ups in the recruiting space including the ventures group of Dow Jones/Newscorp and launching FINS, the career site of the WSJ Digital Network.
Stacey has a background in marketing at both for-profit and not-for-profit organizations, including The Wall Street Journal Digital Network and The College Board. She holds an MBA from NYU Stern with specializations in Marketing and Social Impact & Innovation.
A US Army and Iraq veteran, Katie Dexter served as a Water Treatment Specialist, participated in humanitarian missions and completed a one-year deployment from 2004-2005 in Tikrit, Iraq. She is a certified Birkman Consultant and a founding member of the Hirepurpose team.
A product manager and digital strategist, Kara led the technology efforts of FreedomWorks, a grassroots advocacy organization, as CTO from 2010 to 2014. Prior to that, she worked as a web developer in New York City. She holds a MS in Internet Technology from Pace University and a BA in Journalism from New York University.
Will has military experience as a USAF officer and National Guard UH-60 pilot with deployments to Iraq and Kosovo. He has been active in the military to civilian transition space since 2007 with recruiting roles at the agency and corporate levels.
A US Navy veteran with 24 years of manufacturing and engineering experience with Intel Corporation. Most recently Pat managed Intel's military veteran program where he worked closely with military personnel to help them transition from service member to civilian life. Pat has an MBA from Arizona State University.
A retired US Air Force Senior Noncommissioned Officer with over 24 years of distinguished service, numerous awards, and experience in the field of recruiting, customer service, computer and knowledge operations, records management, security, Inspector General, and a First Sergeant. Rick, has served in various military locations it include Griffiss Air Force Base, NY and Tyndall Air Force Base, FL. Rick deployed to Saudi Arabia in support of The Stealth Fighter (F-117A) during Operation Desert Shield/Storm. Following retirement, Rick became an Account Representative for a military transitioning agency in 2012. He quickly advanced to serve as Agency Recruiter and was also contracted out to represent other companies as well. He traveled around the country supporting job fairs and found qualified veterans to fill vacant positions world-wide. Rick has a proven record of success and a 'Can Do' attitude in preparing transitioning military candidates.
Corey is a U.S. Army Veteran of 23 years with a distinguished background in military recruiting as well as Veteran Outreach. He holds a BS in Business Management and helps Veterans leverage acquired military skills to successfully enter the civilian workforce.
Wally loves developing, designing, and improving user experiences and products. Prior to Hirepurpose, Wally was a serial entrepreneur and core member of several startup teams including ClearServe, LiveIntent, and HFObserver. Earlier in his career, he served in various engineering, product and design roles at iCIMS, The Princeton Review, and Gerson Lehrman Group. He is a graduate of Boston University with a BA in Computer Science and Visual Arts.
Lauren Katzenberg is the managing editor of Task & Purpose. Previously, she was a senior project manager in Kabul from 2010 to 2012 at a media development firm, overseeing multimedia and education projects. Lauren has a BS in journalism from Boston University, and an MA in global media and communications from the School of Oriental and African Studies in London. She is also on the editorial board of War on the Rocks, a foreign policy web magazine.
A graphic designer and multimedia producer, Matt led the design and video efforts at FreedomWorks, a grassroots advocacy organization, as Creative Manager. He's a graduate of Rutgers.
