I am grateful for my 12 years of experience in the U.S. Army as a chemical operations specialist. I achieved the rank of Sergeant and spent most of my military career stateside, with a two-year stint in Korea. My duties included working with a decontamination unit and providing hazmat response in the Washington, D.C. area, as well as offering ongoing administrative support.
In 2013, I applied for an admin position in Watertown that would allow me to attend college to pursue a degree in Criminal Justice. I was surprised and pleased when the company offered me a senior admin position based on my military skills. My Army experience was definitely a plus when I was interviewing. The skills I gained working with a diverse group of soldiers continue to help me perform my job at the station.
