Pitney Bowes is a global technology company crafting innovative products and solutions that help clients “get it right” in the complex world of commerce in the areas of customer information management, location intelligence, customer engagement, shipping and mailing, and global ecommerce. Founded in 1920, Pitney Bowes operates around the world, delivering accuracy and precision to more than 1.5 million clients.
Pitney Bowes has a long history of using the diverse skills, perspectives and experiences of all employees to win in our markets. Our relationship with those with military service started in the 1940s when some of our employees were drafted for World War II and our manufacturing facility won multiple awards for war production excellence. When the expansion of our main manufacturing facility, in Stamford was completed in 1946, we dedicated it to the employees who lost their lives during the war. Nearly half of all men employed at our facility at the time were World War II veterans. Over time, we have had an enduring relationship with those with military service, from hiring veterans as employees, to selecting veteran businesses to strengthen our supply chain.
Military service requires purpose, commitment and collaboration in working toward a common goal. These characteristics are consistent with the high performance culture that we are building here at Pitney Bowes.
