WE WORK FOR AND WITH THE MILITARY

At Goodyear, our relationship with the military began in World War I, when we produced truck tires and airships for the war effort. Today, we are still the largest producer of military tires in the United States, and have been named one of the top military-friendly employers in the nation. Because Goodyear understands the value veterans bring to the workforce, we actively recruit top military talent and leverage our veterans association to help new hires make a seamless transition to civilian life.

WHY CHOOSE GOODYEAR

Goodyear is proud to be a military-friendly employer. Veterans, guardsmen, and reservists starting careers at Goodyear will find our culture to be a familiar one — with strong value placed on leadership traits such as building talent and teams, problem solving, effective communication, courageous decision making, and delivering results. As you transition to the next stage of your career, Goodyear has the right opportunities to prepare you for success.

About
Jose

I work with Goodyear teams to provide analysis on key topics including business developments, competitive strategies, and new technologies. As the Goodyear Veterans Association president, I work with other Veterans at Goodyear to provide value to the company by assisting efforts to support currently-serving Goodyear veteran, reserve and national guard associates, building espirit-de-corps among the GVA members and the greater Goodyear community, and encouraging continued dedicated service with a Goodyear "mission first" focus.

's Advice

Look to your family, friends and co-workers as resources in moving from military to civilian life. The military system is highly structured, and take this mindset to help you do well in your civilian responsibilities. Get to know the people you work with just like in the military, you spend a great deal of time with them and they become part of your family as well.

Raymon

My job is twofold: Place assembled tires into curing press molds for the vulcanization process per specification, and inspect cured tires to ensure they meet our visual standards. I also train newly hired associates on our curing and inspection systems.
