Career Accelerator Program
We launched the Career Accelerator Program (CAP) to break down some of the barriers that underrepresented groups tend to face with employment in the tech industry. In the pilot phase, we put a small group of 12 military veterans through a two-week training on Workday's human capital management product, and then placed them in four-month internships throughout the company.
Ten of the 12 CAP interns in the pilot have transitioned into full-time positions because of the hard work and energy that they put in during their internships. That's an 83 percent conversion rate, which speaks to the determination and impressive ability of veterans. This has led us to expand the program to a larger group of veteran interns in the next round.
