As a co-op in the Product Management department, the individual will:

  • Have the opportunity to use state of the art tools, work with bio-absorbable and other implant/medical grade plastic materials,
  • Use additive manufacturing to produce prototype tooling,
  • Observe world class surgeons in DePuy's new training facility,
  • And take advantage of on-site training courses.
Plastics or Material Engineering:
  • Working with cross-functional product development teams and alongside experienced engineers,
  • The candidate will contribute to design solutions and the advancement of new product development projects and life cycle management of existing products.
  • You will be assigned to specific product and/or support teams to assist in injection molding process development and validation activities, design of test fixtures and prototypes as well as perform testing, and experimentation. 
  • Additionally, the candidate will work with additive manufacturing techniques to design, build, and run prototype injection molds, and will be involved in the day to day activities in the molding development center.

Qualifications
  • Candidates must be enrolled in an accredited college, pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering (Mechanical/Biomechanical, Biomedical/Bio, Materials or Plastics, Chemical/Biochemical.)
  • Candidates must be available to work full-time (40 hrs/week) during either the Spring (January - June), Summer (May/June - August) or Fall (July - December) 2017 semester.
  • Only students in their sophomore year or above will be considered.
  • A minimum GPA of 3.0 is strongly preferred.
    This position is located in Raynham, MA. Students must be able to provide their own transportation since this location is not within walking distance from the train station.
  • Students must be legally authorized to work in the United States and not require future sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g. H1-B status) now or in the future.
