Janssen, the name given to Johnson & Johnson’s global group of pharmaceutical companies within the Johnson & Johnson's Family of Companies, is recruiting student interns to work within the Portfolio Delivery Operations department on their Oncology/Immunology clinical trials. This Internship Program is focused on providing college students with practical clinical trial operations experience.


The Oncology/Immunology intern will:

  • Work collaboratively with the Central Study Team (GCDO Trial Leader, Clinical Trial Manager and Global Clinical Trial Assistant) on assigned trials, assisting with a variety of ad-hoc tasks, reconciliation activities and tracking of trial related milestones & deliverables
  • Support Central Study Team work related to the conduct of trial including, but not limited to:
    • study feasibility and enrollment
    • general trial oversight and management
    • database lock preparation
    • inspection readiness
  • Learn and work within the various systems utilized for clinical trial management
  • Be exposed to and trained by stakeholders from various functions contributing to the clinical trial, with the intention of broadening the intern’s knowledge and experience of the clinical trial process as a whole
  • Support cross-trial collaborative activities looking to provide greater consistency and efficiency within all trials on a dedicated compound
  • Collaborate with the other interns on larger projects throughout the summer related to the work on their clinical trials as well as process improvements on a broader scale

  • Candidates must be a student enrolled in a full-time undergraduate degree program (or recently graduated from one) in a Science related field or discipline related to clinical operations/project management.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and not require sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g. H1-B status). 
  • Candidates must be able to work full-time i.e. 36 hours per week, for the duration of the 10 - 12 week summer internship.
  • Candidates must have the ability to work individually (independently) as well as on a team
  • Candidates must have strong motivation and problem-solving abilities
  • Candidates must have strong verbal and written, communication and presentation skills.
  • Candidates must have an affinity for learning new technology and systems
  • It is preferred that candidates have a working knowledge of PowerPoint and Excel
