Quality engineering interns and co-ops will use their coursework and previous work experience to lead key projects within the quality systems. Interns and co-ops will work on projects directly linked to improving internal and external processes, and product quality as it relates to the customer experience. Projects will leverage candidates’ technical and analytical skills, creativity, and leadership to coordinate and drive efforts across functional areas.
In order to be eligible for this position, candidates must be enrolled in an accredited university with graduation planned for 2017-2020. Work experience or coursework in technical writing, product design (SolidWorks or Inventor), statistics, manufacturing, and optics is preferred. Preferred majors include engineering, physics, optics, and life sciences. Minimum GPA requirement of 3.0 is strongly preferred.
Availability to work full-time (40 hours/week) during the Internship / Co-op is required. A minimum G.P.A. of 3.0 is preferred. Demonstrated leadership and/or participation in campus/community service activities is preferred.
Students must be able to provide their own transportation to this location. Housing/Stipend will be offered to students that meet the commuting distance eligibility requirements. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and not require sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g. H1-B status) now or in the future.
Candidates must be highly motivated with strong analytical and interpersonal skills. The individuals must possess strong leadership skills to pursue each project independently with enthusiasm and passion.
