Development, and Quality Co-ops, located in Cincinnati, OH.
ETHICON, Inc. develops and markets advanced
medical devices for minimally invasive and open surgical procedures. The
company focuses on procedure-enabling devices in general and bariatric surgery,
gastrointestinal health, gynecology and surgical oncology. Products include:
the ENDOPATH® XCEL™ Access System; ECHELON FLEXTM Powered ENDOPATH®
Stapler; HARMONIC™ ultrasonic cutting and coagulating surgical devices; and
ENSEAL® RF cutting and coagulating surgical devices.
co-op in the R&D Design, Development or Quality department, you will
have the opportunity to:
- Use state of the art tools and
take advantage of training courses offered on-site.
- Perform testing,
experimentation, and validation to support product design.
- Contribute to design solution
activity through utilization of previously learned skills with CAD tools,
simulation tools, fundamental engineering principles, and expert guidance from
seasoned Team Engineers.
- Receive anatomy training, which
includes application to instrument design as it relates to surgical procedures;
and you will assist in developing laboratory testing, interpreting data
results, and recommending next steps.
- There are many opportunities
to receive intermediate CAD training, if applicable, including
building simulation models, developing kinematics models, and performing

Rotations are generally 3-5 months
and availability for multiple rotations is desired. We offer a

R&D / Quality Co-op position, candidates:
- Must be enrolled in an
accredited college/institution pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in
Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a
