Xcenda LLC is pleased to offer doctoral students the opportunity to apply for a 10-week summer internship that will provide a unique hands-on research and educational experience in a health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) consulting environment. It is expected that the intern will work on retrospective/prospective database analysis projects in various disease areas, interact with pharmaceutical companies throughout the United States. During the internship, professionals from Xcenda will mentor the intern through research projects that will be tailored to meet the interests of the candidate. T his is a 10 week paid internship program. Intern must be able to work out of our Palm Harbor, FL office for the summer of 2017. Relocation assistance available. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
The intern will participate in research projects with Xcenda involving one or more of the following areas:
- Research design
- Large database analysis (Retrospective and/or prospective)
- Development of research proposals
- Development of study reports and/or conference submissions for research dissemination
- Logistics and implementation issues associated with research studies
- Health outcomes strategy
- Economic modeling
Topics for research projects will include, but are not limited to, one or more of the following areas:
- Economic and resource utilization analysis
- Persistence and adherence assessments
- Treatment patterns
- Survival analysis
- Effectiveness assessments
Candidates will be selected from a national pool of graduate students working toward a Doctor of Philosophy or equivalent degree in health outcomes research or a related discipline. EXPERIENCE :
- Real world experience in outcomes research is preferred, but not required
- Experience in SAS programming required (knowledge of Stata programming is a plus)
