Adecco is searching for qualified assemblers to work in a Fiber Optic Cable Lab environment in Meriden CT. This is a long-term temp assignment that will offer valuable work experience and enhance your skills as an assembler. If you meet the qualifications listed below, Apply Now!

2nd Shift Openings Available (Training on 1st Shift will be required for a brief period of time)

Starting Pay Rate: $11.00/hr while in training. Once on 2nd shift will be $12.10/hr with a bump to $12.60 after a successful 90 day review

No experience working in a lab environment????

No worries!!Previous experience may also include: Sewing, small parts assembly, hobbies such as craft making/model building and working with epoxies and acrylic nail care.

Responsibilities for assembler roles include but are not limited to:
-Basic to complex assembly and fiber termination using keen eye sight and hand coordination
-Work with fiber optic strands of various color and insert into a harness with a hole pattern in accordance with schematics and blueprints
-Correctly thread wires
-Perform duties to support wire preparation
-Use of a microscope and very fine needle point skills
-Use of a microscope to inspect cables/wires for defects
-May require cleaning and inspecting parts and disassembly of returned units
-Report defective material or questionable condition to department supervisor
-Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition
-Perform testing on multichannel testers
-Use power source meters
-Bench work

Candidates must meet the following requirements for consideration:
-Possess computer literacy
-Be capable of measuring to small tolerances 1 to 20 millimeters
-High school diploma or GED
-Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions in English
-Good hand/eye coordination and fine motor skills performing repetitive motions
-Able to work independently and with others
-Able to lift 50lbs
-Ability to use power tools
