Adecco Direct Hire is recruiting on behalf of our esteemed client in Newton, NC for the position of 3rd Shift Maintenance Technician. Qualified candidates for this position will be responsible for maintenance and troubleshooting of production machines in a manufacturing environment. Our client is seeking candidates who have three years of experience in manufufacturing maintenance, as well as exposure to TS-16949 and ISO-14001 requirements. Additional duties and responsibilities of this position include: Overview: Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair production equipment for a safe and productive work environment. Provide sound technical support to ensure equipment is in a constant state of readiness. Support production areas by performing predictive, preventative and breakdown maintenance, documenting procedures/processes, and training of associates. Perform and document all results of maintenance on machines to maintain safety and increase uptime. Review spare parts needs and maintain stock necessary for 24-hour operation Understand and comply with TS16949, ISO-14001, NEC, NFPA, OSHA, and EPA Requirements Responsibilities: Install, maintain and repair machinery, equipment, physical structures, plumbing, piping and electrical systems Understand blueprints, manuals, and schematic drawings Ability to use hand tools, power tools, hoist, crane, and measuring and testing instruments Detect unusual sounds from machines or equipment that malfunction Explain technical issues to facilitators, production and maintenance technicians to diagnose or repair machine Dismantle defective equipment and machines and installs new or repaired parts following specific specifications Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears and other parts of machinery using rags, brushes, and grease gun Install and repair electrical apparatus such as transformers and wiring and electronic components of machinery Lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment Repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment Repair and maintain physical structure of establishment Install machinery and equipment according to blueprints and other specifications Install, program, or repair automated machinery and equipment, such as robots and/or programmable controllers Set-up and operate machine tools, such as lathe, grinder, drill and milling machine Repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs, fixtures and tools Operate cutting torch and/or welding equipment Necessary Experience: Associates Degree and one year of work experience or minimum of 2 years related technical training or Production Technician Level 3 Task List certification. Previous machine set-up experience Regularly lift up to 10 pounds, frequently lift or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. Ability to prioritize assigned tasks on a timely basis Call in availability to meet customer production requirements Preferred Experience: Strong background in MS Office, database and SAP Previous machine set-up experience Ability to communicate with proper tools to a PLC and read and understand ladder logic Ability to use and understand electronic drive controls Background in CNC programming is a plus Qualified candidates are asked to send a Microsoft Word version of their resume to Bob Kalbaugh at email@example.com for immediate consideration.
