Access & Reimbursement Operations Manager – Bone

As a member of the US Value & Access team, the Access & Reimbursement Operations (ARO) Manager, reports in to the Senior Manager of the Access, Reimbursement and Operations team. This role will be responsible for managing various aspects of Amgen's Bone Cardiovascular Business Unit (BCBU) patient support programs and/or ensuring performance to the terms of each contract, as well as tactical problem solving, improving performance and optimizing services.
Responsible for day to day oversight of Access and Reimbursement operational functions, including call center and reimbursement hub services
Work with Sr. Manager-ARO, Access Marketing, and partners to ensure execution and quality of services meets Amgen stated business objectives
Work with Sr. Manager-ARO to identify opportunities to advance Amgen US Value and Access strategies, whether they be process or automation enhancements that enhance services and/or reduce costs
Work with Sr. Manager-ARO on strategic planning for the future (i.e. Evaluating automation efforts, Patient benefit calls, next injection reminders, medical policy communication, field reimbursement coordination, and future potential products (i.e., instant on-line verification), giving guidance to brand and RAV functions on services, service enhancements, and the costs of approaches
Assist Sr. Manager-ARO, Access Marketing resources, and/or outsource partners to forecast program volumes and ensure adequately staffing to meet service objectives
Collaborate with internal partners to ensure all programs and work meet Amgen legal, regulatory, and compliance standards
Manage the MAC process including working with internal partners to develop, seek approval of, and maintain appropriate materials (e.g. call center correspondence, IVR scripts)
Assist Sr. Manager-ARO to address any field and/or management call center questions or concerns
Support Sr. Manager-ARO to optimize core field reporting or provider resources (portals, etc.)
Administer Co-Pay Programs with Sr. Manager-ARO and Access Marketing
Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate degree OR
Master's degree and 2 years of Marketing and/or Operations experience OR
Bachelor's degree and 4 years of Marketing and/or Operations experience OR
Associate's degree and 10 years of Marketing and/or Operations experience OR
High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Marketing and/or Operations experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience with information systems and technology
Call center / reimbursement hub management experience, call center / reimbursement partner management experience
Previous Access and Reimbursement experience from a program development, marketing, sales, or operational standpoint
Analytic experience - Microsoft Excel skills, attention to detail
Project management experience - ability to track complex projects and bring tasks to completion on time and within budget
Process management experience - the ability to document processes and improve them to eliminate waste
Communication skills - strong spoken and written communication skills to translate Amgen business requirements into operational programs at a partner operation, and ability to effectively navigate to win-win agreements across diverse internal and external partner groups understand the payer landscape (i.e. Commercial Plans, Medicare and Medicaid)
Strategic and forward thinking skills
