Under minimal direction, is responsible for the sale of HVAC and Control systems and services to building owners during construction, operation and maintenance, and renovation phases of a building life cycle. Focuses on all opportunities to allow the building owners to reduce cost, reduce risk and simplify building operations. Sells turnkey retrofits, renews and expands renewable service agreements, including multi-year agreements, to both new and existing assigned customers. Builds long-term relationships with the building owners responsible for the decision-making process to drive the sale of Johnson Control offerings working with a team of professionals. Actively listens, probes and identifies concerns. Understands the customer's business cycle. Demonstrates technical and business expertise and maintains a high level of credibility. Garners loyalty, trust and commitment from the customer.
Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related discipline required. A minimum of 3+ years of progressive field sales experience. At least one year successfully selling HVAC or building automation system service or projects. Demonstrates a commitment to integrity and quality in business. Excellent initiative and interpersonal communications skills. Demonstrated ability to influence account decision makers at key levels.
