Pay Rate/Salary: $65000-85000 / Year

Accountant is responsible for the month-end close, preparing and analyzing financial statements, balance sheet reconciliation, annual budget process, standard accounting functions and special projects within the Interiors Group division.

Responsibilities Include:

Month-end Closing



  • Review and balance inventory accounts


  • Analyze payments for fabric, hardware, installation, and fabrication expenses


  • Review sales orders billed in the current month


  • Prepare inventory accruals/deferrals


  • Prepare and enter journal entries


  • Financial Statement Preparation



    • Review SG&A expenses for accuracy


    • Prepare period and budget variance analysis on gross margin and SG&A expenses


    • Prepare various schedules comparing various expenses to Sales


    • Financial Analysis



      • Prepare various Sales and margin analysis in a timely and accurate manner for review with division management


      • Perform actual vs. budget analysis with detail variance explanations


      • Other Responsibilities



        • Reconcile balance sheet accounts in a timely and accurate manner


        • Work with division management on preparing the upcoming year's budget


        • Qualifications:



          • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA license preferred


          • 4-6 years' accounting experience with job costing experience a plus


          • Advanced Excel skills


          • Working knowledge of JD Edwards Accounting Systems


          • Strong problem solving and analytical skills

            RequirementsQualifications:
