HEDIS Accounting Clerk - Intermediate (Invoice Processing Clerk)

Our client's HEDIS Operations is an integrated team serving all UnitedHealthcare businesses, focused on delivering operational efficiencies for centralized activities. Invoice processing is integral to the success of HEDIS hybrid data collection and support supplemental data efforts as well.

The purpose of this position is to provide support for accounting and/or finance staff as needed. Duties may include data entry, report generation and distribution, and special projects as assigned. Position may also work with accounts payable/receivables. Tasks included may be compiling, classifying, recording, verifying and maintaining data and payments to accounts payable and receivable records. Qualifications include the ability to perform the tasks as described a high school diploma or equivalent. Associates degree from a two-year college or technical school with courses in accounting, finance or business highly desirable. Computer proficiency with experience in Excel and Word required. Excellent written/verbal communication and phone skills.


Acts a temporary employee to work a required 40 hours weekly for the number of weeks specified on the contract focusing on medical record invoice payment
Applies comprehensive training to completion of job duties
Performs duties assigned by the Sr. Accounts Payable Rep
Demonstrates effective professional verbal and written communication skills in a virtual environment and across time zones
Collects HEDIS medical record invoices from OnBase
Prioritizes invoices by urgency of payment
Ensures that invoices meet necessary criteria and follows up with the pursuit of the required information
Efficiently maintains invoice files
Accurately enters invoice information into HTA Invoice Module
Tracks invoices through and including payment
Works with limited guidance
Translates concepts into practice


Minimum 1 year experience working in Accounts Payable
High School Diploma plus Accounting experience
Demonstrated ability to assist with focusing activities toward a strategic direction and achieve targets
Strong interpersonal skills
High level of attention to detail
Excellent time management skills
Strong written and verbal communications skills
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including: Word and Excel.
Intermediate Adobe Acrobat Professional skills including combining PDFs, adding comments and redacting
Previous experience working in the Medical or Insurance Field is desired, but not required


Some Healthcare experience
Experience working with invoices and/or Accounts Payable
Previous temporary work experience
Previous experience working in a virtual environment

Shift Times: 8AM to 5PM, Monday thru Friday

This is a 6+ month assignment.
