Accountemps is actively looking to hire a skilled Accounting Clerk for a premier organization. The main responsibilities of the Accounting Clerk will include but not be limited to assisting in the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R), matching invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, and general forms of data entry. This is a long term temporary-to-fulltime position based in the Miami Beach, Florida area. Your responsibilities - Assist in budgetary control by monitoring budgets and originating or verifying adjustments and transfers - Correct transaction documents, which may require making changes to other documents or entries as well as the original; may initiate other actions - Aid Accounts Payable: A/P invoice matching filing, vendor invoices and disbursement filing - Patch up discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required - Post financial figures to journals, registers, and ledgers, manually or by electronic equipment - Produce statements and reports that require utilization of a variety of sources - Assist Accounts Receivable: help with collection of past due balance, process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipt - Overall accounting and administration aid: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects - See to the proper coding of documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of expenditure codes and accounting codes
