Current Need

McKesson is seeking an Accounting Manager for US Pharma’s Accounting Center of Excellence to manage accounting processes for key areas of the business, focused on intercompany transactions, to ensure accurate financial results.



Position Description

This position is responsible for managing the accounting and controls within the Accounting Center of Excellence.  This role will seek opportunities and implementation for process improvement.  A strong focus on internal customer service and effective communication is necessary to successfully support multiple business units served by the Accounting Center of Excellence.  This role will support internal partners for analytical information, special requests, ad hoc reporting and business combinations as well as other process implementations.

This role will supervise two senior accountants in the day-to-day operations

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 3+ years accounting experience

Education:
  • Bachelors in Accounting or related field required
  • Advanced accounting degree preferred
  
Financial Services Experience:
  • CPA preferred
  • Public accounting experience preferred
  • Previous supervisory (reviewer) experience is essential, as this role will involve, not only building a team, but managing an active team along with the Sr. Manager.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of GAAP
  • Strong analytical, data analysis skills
  • Demonstrated process improvement experience
Technical Skills:
  • Advanced Excel skills required (pivot charts, tables, v-lookups, complex formulas)
  • Access is preferable, but not required
  • Must have a minimum of intermediate SAP knowledge or other large ERP.
Additional Knowledge & Skills:

  • Team player with demonstrated ability to lead and build cross-functional relationships
  • Adaptable to a fast paced and quickly changing environment
  • Understanding of databases or other analytical tools a plus
