Accountemps has an outstanding opportunity for a short term temporary Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk to join the team at a premier company. Updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L, processing checks, processing expense reports, resolving A/P issues, and matching and batching code are just a few of the responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Clerk. This Accounts Payable Clerk role will be located in the Roanoke, Virginia area and will be a short term temporary position. How you will make an impact - Organize, register, photocopy, and file invoices, checks, and other documents - Provide support during internal and external audits - Validate, record and send checks, including expediting special handling - Execute additional tasks as needed - Handle daily department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it - Provide support to internal business partners - Perform daily processes and controls correctly and punctually, ensuring Company policies are followed - Primary responsibility is to handle the administrative and clerical needs of the AP/Finance Department
