Accountemps has an exceptional opportunity for a temporary Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk to join the team at a recognized company. Updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L, processing checks, processing expense reports, resolving A/P issues, and matching and batching code are just a few of the responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Clerk. This position requires people who have excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of accounting and its principles, hands on, and the ability to think on your feet. This Accounts Payable Clerk role will be located in the York, Pennsylvania area and will be a short term temporary position. Responsibilities - Verify, log and send checks, including facilitating special handling - Carry out additional projects as required - Assist internal business partners with any customer services needs - Sort, log, photocopy, and file invoices, checks, and other documents - Manage department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it on a daily basis - Provide internal and external audit assistance as required - Execute daily processes and controls accurately and in a timely manner; ensuring compliance with Company policies - Provide administrative and clerical assistance to the AP/Finance Department
