Accountemps has a first-rate opportunity for a short term temporary Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk to join the team at a premier company in the Retail industry. The Accounts Payable Clerk will match and batch code, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks. If you are a collaborative team member with a positive attitude and effective communication skills, then this role is for you. This Accounts Payable Clerk role will be located in the Houston, Texas area and will be a short term temporary position. Your responsibilities in this role - Carry out additional projects as required - Verify, log and mail checks, including expediting special handling - Primary responsibility is to handle the administrative and clerical needs of the AP/Finance Department - Provide internal and external audit assistance as required - Sort, log, photocopy, and file invoices, checks, and other documents - Provide customer service to internal business partners - Manage department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it on a daily basis - Perform daily processes and controls correctly and punctually, ensuring Company policies are followed
