Accountemps is seeking a temporary Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk to become an integral part of a rapidly growing team at a company in the Energy/Natural Resources industry. Updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L, processing checks, processing expense reports, resolving A/P issues, and matching and batching code are just a few of the responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Clerk. As the role progresses , more responsibilities will be assigned to the Accounts Payable Clerk. This Accounts Payable Clerk opportunity will be located in the Bethesda, Maryland area and will be a temporary position. Your responsibilities - Support the AP/Finance Department by completing administrative and clericals tasks - Carry out additional tasks as assigned - Manage department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it on a daily basis - Manage customer service tasks for internal business partners - Ensure compliance with Company policies while carrying out daily processes and controls accurately and on time - Provide support during internal and external audits - Ensure invoices, checks, and other documents are properly sorted, logged, photocopied, and filed - Manage the process of verifying, logging, and mailing checks, including expediting special handling
