Position Summary:
Work from home!! The Executive Advisor of Actuarial Services has wide latitude in providing insurance underwriting and financial services to Sales, Account Services and Finance. Use of actuarial tools to underwrite insurance proposals within set boundaries. Presentation of underwriting analysis along with recommendations to senior management for approval.Creation, review and implementation of contract offerings. Help in setting overall strategic direction for Actuarial Services Pricing Department. Assist in Actuarial Analysis. Identify, implement and train CVS Caremark employees in best practice strategies across market and region segments. Participate in identifying risk for the Corporation.

Additional duties include:
External client actuarial consulting across multiple lines of business.
Responsible for trend/assumption setting and risk assessment for the company.
Completing contractual actuarial services for clients.

Required Qualifications:
8+ years of health insurance pricing or underwriting experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
Actuarial Skills in the Health Care Industry including Actuarial Standards of Practice (ASOPs).

Strong problem solving, writing and communication skills.

Advanced MS Office skills, knowledge of relational databases and warehouses, advanced SQL, OLAP and SAS skills.

Ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team environment, as well as independently.

Bachelors degree is required,degree in finance, mathematics, or business preferred.

Accredited Actuary (Associate of the Society of Actuaries or Fellow of the Society of Actuaries.)
