DESCRIPTION: Process requests for data by adding and correcting entries into a specific database or computer application Keep track of received data and source documents Compiling, sorting, interpreting and verifying data to be entered Contact prepares of source documents to resolve questions, inconsistencies or missing data Enter alphabetic, numeric data for source documents into a computer following the format displayed on the screen. May review error reports and enter corrections into computer File and route source documents after entry as appropriate Respond to inquiries regarding entered data Will be given specific website(s) to cross check and validate physician data Once they have validated the data, they will be required to data enter findings into a master spreadsheet MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Basic internet navigation skills are required Attention to detail is critical Accuracy of data is critical Project is independent work PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 3 or more years of combined experience as an administrative assistant in healthcare administration, data entry, and customer service Experience with medical terminology WORKING CONDITIONS: The work is mostly non-confined sitting (employee is free to move about). Work is conducted on the telephone and computer terminal. Visual as well as mental concentration requiring the ability to handle situations under stress is applied. Exposure to risk on the job is limited. The work environment is mostly clean and comfortable, and may include some annoyances such as noise, odors, and drafts. Shift Start/End Time: 8:00-5:00 This is a 2+ month assignment with possible extension and permanent opportunities.
