Dells Worldwide Procurement team is seeking an experiencedprogram manager based in Austin, Texas to help drive our procurement transformation globally.The Human Capital Procurement team works to source Consulting, Contingent Labor, BPO, and other services on behalf of Dell by soliciting and evaluating supplier proposals, negotiating rates, and executing contracts and Statements of Work (SoWs).
-Provide analytical/data collection support to the Human Capital Global and Regional Managers
-Support the reporting/execution of internal/external dashboards and initiatives
-Help track, manage, and improve our various SoW programs, and drive intelligence into the team about the key levers or actions that will increase our velocity and accuracy to the business.
-Support rationalization, redesign, and roll-out a consistent way of managing SoWs, the primary contract tool used to engage with suppliers. Additionally, as this role is ramped up, there will be potential to engage in more of a category mgmt and contract review.
-This role is meant to help service the existing business while also preparing for change, and being a part of the team that sets a new standard for the way procurement transacts on behalf of Dell
In this role, you should expect to learn:
-Functional knowledge of Human Capital as a portfolio, and the role it plays in the business
-Functional knowledge of major procurement levers, namely SoW writing and negotiation
-Functional knowledge of key business partners (IT, Finance, and others)
-Key elements of 7-step (issue trees, workplanning and analysis) and design thinking (brainstorming, prototyping)
-Influencing and change mgmt skills
-Presentation skills with executives and functional business partners
-Process and tool design skills
