We’ve been consistently recognized by industry analysts, readers’ polls and as a leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for managed security services, worldwide. **Role Responsibilities** -Responsible for making intermediate to advanced device configuration changes and working with dedicated client troubleshooting advanced security related issues -Meet service level agreements related to change management processing -Remotely access managed devices via in-band and out of band management -Work within a 7x24 shift-scheduled security operations environment -Responsible for answering inbound calls and emails from technical clients (Network Administrators, Application Owners), authenticated callers, create tickets for all work, and address a client request or issues -Maintain network security fundamentals around the provisioning/installation of firewalls (primarily Checkpoint, Juniper Netscreen, Juniper SRX, Netscreen FortiGate, and IDS/IDP devices (primarily Tipping Point and NetScreen IDP). -Handle escalations from first level technicians and provide basic mentoring to newer employees As a managed security provider, SecureWorks expects its employees to understand and apply commonly known security practices and possess a working knowledge of applicable industry controls such as NIST 800-53. Employees will be expected to acknowledge their security responsibilities in writing prior to gaining access to company systems. Employees will be required to maintain a working knowledge of local security policies and execute general controls as assigned. **Requirements** -8-10 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience: Undergraduate degree and 2 – 4 years of relevant experience. -3+ years hands-on experience with Firewall technology such as Checkpoint, Cisco, Juniper Netscreen/SRX, or FortiGate -SANS/GIAC Certification (GCFW, GCIA, and GCIH) a significant plus -Must possess current certifications for enterprise level security platforms such as CCSA, CCSE, CCSP, JNCIA, JNCIE, GCFW -Intermediate to advanced level of Linux experience including system administration and CLI -Generally familiar with basic scripting/programming: Examples such as PERL, BASH, MySQL -A proven ability to independently support and manage client Firewalls, Intrusion Detection security devices, and other security related platforms -Dedication to client services and passion for learning and security -Intermediate level of networking experience and understanding of advance routing principles, networking fundamental, and well known protocols/services including GRE, BGP, OSPF, ARP/NAT, and command line interfaces -Well-spoken and articulate containing an attention to detail with excellent writing abilities -Must be able to communication technical details in a clear, understandable manner -Excellent problem solving skills and keen ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues -Retaining ownership of escalated issues and work to resolution -Ability to read and interpret network diagrams **Work Schedule** Day Shift or Evening Shift **Location** Lisle IL or Providence RI **SecureWorks** is an equal opportunity employer.
