Position Summary:Provide testing leadership for ECS and ESL Middleware applications. Advise during requirements and design project phases. Develop and lead testing strategies to ensure the delivery of quality IT products. Perform complex work flow analysis and recommend quality process and procedural improvements to drive efficiencies in the Quality Assurance organization. Proactively instruct others in product knowledge as a subject matter expert in the Quality Assurance discipline. Review and Approve Stage Gate review forms. Ensure that defined QA processes are implemented in all aspects of project oversight (plan, design, implement, execute, evaluate). Review reports and results of software testing and provide input. Provide key input to the Manager of QA on QA process, project and program management and individual performance of QA FTE and contractor personnel. Participate in knowledge transfers to ensure that system and business domain knowledge is maintained as QA members and contractors move between projects or other initiatives. Keep abreast of technology trends in the QA and PBM industry and determine if useful and/or feasible improvements (i.e. financial impact) can be made and make recommendations to the organization. Assist in the adoption of new technology in the department. Solve complex problems for projects or teams. Lead the delivery of QA training and areas of expertise. Ensure that defined QA SEP Processes are implemented in all aspects of project oversight (plan, design, implement, execute, evaluate). Support Production and Warrantee issues On Demand and as required and participate in release support for both major and minor releases. Represent QA in discussions with all aspects of project lifecycle related to RCA, mitigation of project risks, defect triaging and planning. Assist QA management in data gathering for QA metrics and improvements. Continually enhance understanding of PBM, Retail, and Enterprise knowledge. Maintain deep knowledge of tools such as CA DevTest, EQuIP, CICS, DB2, SOAPUI, SPUFI, TOAD, and SQL to ensure QA Analysts are using the tools correctly and to their fullest potential. Continually maintain and enhance architectural knowledge of RxClaim, SBO, Integration Information Broker (IIB), DataPower, and Java to ensure that comprehensive end to end testing strategies are developed and executed. Off-hours work required occasionally to support project needs.
Required Qualifications:Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, IT, or closely related technical field and 2 years of experience in IT quality assurance, including 2 years of experience testing Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) on Middleware systems; PBM, Retail, ECS and ESL Middleware applications; SOAPUI; CA DEVTEST; Integration Information Broker (IIB); and DataPower required. Will accept a Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience in lieu of a Master’s degree and 2 years of experience. 5-10% domestic travel required for onsite project coordination.
