An XtremIO Solutions Architect will support customer escalations by serving as a product expert that represents the Engineering team on the most complex and critical customer issues. The Solutions Architect will work closely with the Research and Development team on one hand and with the Technical Support team on the other hand to resolve complex issues that were escalated from the field. Will perform root cause analysis and provide feedback to the R&D team. As the Engineering representative in contact with the field, the Escalation Engineer has direct impact on how the product succeeds in the market, and what enhancements or new features can be added to bring the XtremIO business to a higher level.
**DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE**
The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic and capable professional with a history of working with customers, creating successful and complex solutions in the IT/Storage infrastructure spaces. He or She will have hands on experience providing data storage solution to customers, and will have expertise in implementing solutions (hands on) and troubleshooting storage infrastructure related problems.
+ Overall 7+ years of experience in advanced technical positions (technical support, development, solution engineering, solution architect) working in complex IT environments.
+ Proven experience working with customers
+ Knowledge and experience in the enterprise IT infrastructure and storage space is required, along with considerable understanding of the broader enterprise IT environments.
+ Knowledge and hands-on experience with Windows and Linux
+ Knowledge and hands-on experience with SAN
+ Ability to create clear and repeatable knowledge articles
+ Sense of urgency
+ Excellent organizational skills
+ Hands-on experience with virtualization platforms and VDI solutions (VMware/Citrix) is a plus
+ Hands-on experience with enterprise databases is a plus
+ Hands-on host and storage performance tuning is a plus
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
+ B.Sc. in CS, CE, EE or related fields.
