+ Responsible for driving the technical sales strategy for EMC products and services in assigned customer accounts. As a member of a field account team, the candidate must demonstrate leadership abilities across a diverse set of matrix sales teams to accelerate the adoption of EMC products and services.
+ Candidate must possess a general understanding of the customer’s business and industry. In addition, demonstrate a desire to expand customer industry knowledge by rapidly assessing industry trends and impacts to the target organization.
+ Be able to quickly identify customer’s strengths and weaknesses in their industry. Assess the customer’s IT organization’s ability to respond to rapidly changing business requirements.
+ Candidate must have a deep understanding of EMC and competitive technology, and business applications within the assigned market and is responsible for translating/applying this knowledge into strategic initiatives.
+ Lead the development of responses to highly critical/unique, large scale customer requests and proposals.
+ Serves as a trusted technology advisor to customers and serves as an internal resource on technical issues or specific business applications within an assigned market segment. Often interfaces with customer's senior management to assess major business operations and address product/service needs. Consults with engineering to answer customer's questions and remove objections that arise in a sales campaign. Engage customer contacts at both a strategic, business focused and tactical, IT technology level.
+ Rapidly assimilates knowledge of new EMC products, services and technologies in order to drive enhanced revenue opportunities in assigned account.
+ Articulate the concepts of the 3rd platform (Cloud, Social Media, Big Data Analytics, and mobility) and how the “internet of things” may impact a customer’s competitive landscape. Identify customer automation decision makers and buying criteria for new opportunity generation in assigned accounts.
+ Engage in transformation strategy discussions with IT organizations to better equipment staff on building automation products to address for business initiatives for competitive advantage.
**Skills (experience with one or more of the following):**
+ Virtualization and IT automation process experience
+ Strong understanding of data center operations including production operations, server, storage, network, database management, systems management, help desk, DR/Business Recovery practices, etc.
+ Virtualization design experience: VMware vCloud Suite (Software Defined Data Center –SDDC; VSAN); Microsoft HyperV
+ IT Process automation: vCloud Automation Center; OpenStack
+ On Premise/ Off Premise work load balancing and cost modeling
+ Exposure to Service Provider (SP) business and models; MS365, AWS, MS Azure
+ Converged infrastructure: architecture and design experience; work load modeling and sizing
+ Converged Infrastructure
+ vCloud Suite: vSphere, vCenter Server, vCloud Director
+ vRealize Suite: Operation, Automation, and Orchestrator
+ Certifications: VSP, VTSP, VCP, VCAP, VCAP-CIA, VCAP-CID, VCDX, vExpert, EMCCA or EMC Proven Specialist
