An Associate I within the Alternative Investments Group is responsible for maintaining the daily operations of 5 or more clients and will begin to develop skills in the areas of Limited Partnership/Real Estate/ Hedge Fund processing document interpretation and review and pricing these alternative asset classes.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
    \t
  • \t\tProcess alternative investments (limited partnerships real estate and hedge funds) activity and valuations for some of the largest pension and endowment plans in the world.
  • \t
  • \t\tProcess limited partnership real estate and hedge fund activity to the accounting books of records within 24 hours or receipt using the correct general ledgers and accounting functions.
  • \t
  • \t\tMonitor daily exceptions between custody and accounting applications with a focus to clear in 4 days or less.
  • \t
  • \t\tRetrieve limited partnership real estate and hedge fund statements from manager websites/emails and update the market values in the valuation tool.
  • \t
  • \t\tRun pricing daily/monthly and review/confirm all price changes over 5%.
  • \t
  • \t\tComplete daily and month end checklists to confirm all activity and pricing is complete.
  • \t
  • \t\tTraining will be provided onsite with additional trainings throughout the year.
  • \t
  • \t\tMonitor client mailboxes and clear them daily up to 4PM.
  • \t
  • \t\tBe a team player and support the team on daily deliverables as well as client projects.
  • \t
  • \t\tAide in the setup of clients on State Streets electronic cash flow module (ECFM).
  • \t
  • \t\tMaintenance of client requirements and provision of reports as provided for by these client requirements
  • \t
  • \t\tParticipation in change management activities as assigned (e.g. restructures new benchmarks etc)
  • \t
  • \t\tDelivery of Universe and related products within prescribed timescales as assigned
  • \t
  • \t\tLiaison with data providers colleagues and clients on issues and initiatives relating to the quality and timeliness of data and the content of the reports
  • \t
  • \t\tActive engagement in production monitoring and quality assurance processes
  • \t
  • \t\tProcessing and validation of data within specified timescales
  • \t
  • \t\tMaintenance of client requirements and provision of reports as provided for by these client requirements
  • \t
  • \t\tParticipation in change management activities as assigned (e.g. restructures new benchmarks etc)
  • \t
  • \t\tDelivery of Universe and related products within prescribed timescales as assigned
  • \t
  • \t\tLiaison with data providers colleagues and clients on issues and initiatives relating to the quality and timeliness of data and the content of the reports
  • \t
  • \t\tEffective and timely handovers of work in progress to other teams as appropriate
  • \t
  • \t\tActive engagement in production monitoring and quality assurance processes
  • \t
  • \t\tExecution of quality control checks on reports prepared by performance administrators
  • \t
  • \t\tOvertime required if deliverables not met.

  • \t\tAssociate's degree with business coursework and related experience OR Bachelor's degree with business coursework
