seeking to hire a Computer Scientist or Electrical Engineer to support efforts on a recently awarded contract to the United States Navy - Office of Naval Research (ONR) to design modules for decision making in Offensive Cyber Operations. The work will be primarily to design and implement two software modules. The first is a module to compare several proposed offensive cyber courses of actions against Cyber-Physical Systems using a Hierarchical Task Network, using various methods to represent offensive and defensive strategies. The second module is a tool to quantify the probabilities associated with Computer Network Attack (CNA), Computer Network Exploitation (CNE) and Electronic Attack (EA) and to allow for the direct comparison of cyber-attacks and kinetic attacks in mission planning. Candidates must be familiar with Statistical Algorithm design and implementation including planning algorithms such as Hierarchical Task Networks and Multiple Criteria Decision Algorithms. Candidates should have a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering (focused on Digital Signal Processing). Candidates should have a solid grasp of random processes including using Markov models. Candidates must be proficient in programming in at least one language.
