Title: AML Compliance Testing Director
Corporate Compliance is seeking an experienced Director to lead the Independent Compliance Transaction Testing (ICTT) team for the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) program throughout the enterprise. This position will be responsible for leading a team of associates charged with designing, executing, and reporting out on risk-based compliance transaction testing, for the purpose of independently validating business line adherence to applicable Laws, Regulations, and Guidance.
In this leadership role, the Director will be accountable to ensure that testing results are executed timely, technically accurate, and reasonable; and that they and the supporting processes adhere to established methodologies and are “auditable” by an independent third party such an Internal Audit or the Regulators. Additionally, test results must be communicated to Executive Management to enable, where needed, shifting of business resources to address critical breakdowns, general observations or customer experience issues that might elevate risk to the company or necessitate changes to business line monitoring and which should be brought to management’s attention.
-Support the AML Compliance Officer in establishing the annual transaction testing calendar and resource allocation using a risk-based approach based on past results, current trends, and knowledge and expertise of AML requirements, including expansion of the program—both regulatory requirement and business line coverage;
-Leveraging the ICTT methodology and supporting procedures, lead the timely, accurate design and execution of testing to evaluate business line compliance with requirements;
-Maintain an interaction model among stakeholders in the process—business line staff, Compliance teams, etc.—mobilizing resources to execute testing efforts;
-Provide accurate and actionable results of testing activities to Management—both business and Compliance senior leadership;
-Perform management oversight/quality assurance to ensure that test plans are designed and executed accurately
-Ensure timely, complete, and accurate responses to test design or execution questions or issues identified by 3rd party oversight groups, such as the Corporate Compliance Central Testing Oversight Group, Internal Audit, or the Regulators;
-Serve as an approachable and trusted advisor, willing to deliver tough messages to fulfill an independent assurance role;
-Maintain high performing team in multiple locations in support of the program and develop / train assigned Compliance department testing staff for success—ensuring staff have the requisite technical regulatory compliance and process knowledge required to effectively execute the process;
-Stay abreast of industry and regulatory trends--adjusting testing coverage as needed.
-Maintain organizational and professional ethical standards, while monitoring compliance with ICTT procedures;
-Assess trends from quality assurance activities and providing coaching to test performers and reviewers as needed;
-Interacting with internal and external auditors, Corporate Compliance senior leaders; and
-Promote and foster an environment that adheres to our Corporate values

-Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
-8 years of financial services consumer compliance monitoring, auditing, or examination experience
-6 years of experience working with AML regulatory requirements (US and Canadian)
-10 years of financial services consumer compliance monitoring, auditing or examination experience
-8 years of years of experience analyzing and applying AML regulatory requirements (US and Canadian)
-Proficient consumer and proficient commercial regulatory compliance technical expertise within the financial services industry
-1 year of Audit or 1 year of Regulatory Agency Experience
-CRCM, or CIA, or CAMS Certification (if not, willingness to pursue)
