Pay Rate/Salary: $90000-110000 / Year Supervision of Technicians and CAD personnel as required
As a critical member of the Research and Development team, the Electrical Design Engineer will join a multi-disciplinary, new product development team associated with the research, development, and commercial introduction of products used in the exploration for oil and gas.
Working closely with the hardware, software and testing teams, the Design Engineer will apply system level, detailed, analog circuit design skills, in the development of new and/or improved down hole well logging tools. Scope of work will include:
Analog circuit design and modeling, debug of breadboards, engineering prototypes, and pre-production pilot builds
Design review participation and field-test support, as required, documentation release, manufacturing support, and related assignments
Requirements*Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering (minimum)
*5 years experience in the development of analog circuits with emphasis on new product development
*Experience in the design of power supplies, amplifiers and filters for sensor instrumentation
*Knowledge of electronic component selection for high-temperature use along with microprocessors.
*PCB design experience, preferably in the oilfield or aerospace industries
