POSITION SUMMARY

  • Under the supervision of the Manager, the Analyst will perform functions to ensure data used by the organization is complete and correct.

  • The selected candidate will be responsible for supporting data integrity across multiple applications and processes.

  • Key responsibilities include maintenance of client data, processing data received from outside sources in an accurate and timely manner, and maintaining and updating securities information (including pricing and valuation).

  • Knowledge of securities and the securities industry is critical as the Analyst uses both accounting and securities applications (such as Bloomberg) to research inquiries, troubleshoot discrepancies, and update systems.

  • Attention to detail is critical for this position. In addition, strong problem solving and organizational skills are required.


  • JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Setup, maintenance, review, and validation of security and pricing data

  • Knowledge of asset classes, industry sectors and valuation

  • Execution of daily and monthly processes to update and review system data

  • Provide business related support for applications related to the maintenance of data for the firm

  • Troubleshoot and problem solve data discrepancies as they arise

  • Participate in the testing and implementation of operational enhancements and special projects

  • Oversee user functionality: configuration, user setup, entitlements and work flows


  • EDUCATION/ACCREDITATION

  • Bachelor's degree required � major in accounting or finance preferred.


  • SPECIALIZED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • 3-5 years of experience in the financial services or securities industry

  • Advanced level of functionality in EXCEL

  • Good analytical skills and timely resolution of issues.

  • Ability to work in a team and to work under pressure

  • Ability to multitask and meet strict deadlines

  • Good communication skills and detail orientated

  • Ability to work flexible hours required


  • Preferred

  • Understanding of asset manager processes trade cycle flow

  • Knowledge of various financial instruments and pricing

  • Applications knowledge i.e., Advent Suite, APX, Axys, Charles River, MS Office Access, Bloomberg
