The Analyst II will:
  • Plans and coordinates R&D contract driven projects and process deliverables
  • Independently assembles relevant data and compiles pertinent statistics or information to track and measure process efficiencies.
  • Interacts with internal and external sources, often at the upper-management level.
  • Performs independent analysis of situations and determines best course of action for the process teams to proceed.
  • Exercises independent discretion and judgment to solve complex problems regarding project, department or division-related work.
  • Full latitude to change systems, processes and workflow.
  • Acts as lead for R&D system development, training, coordinating and execution.
  • Provides direction/coordination/training and/or develop work procedures to process participant and external resources, such as reporting, analyses, project pre-work, etc., and maintaining quality control.
  • Possesses in-depth knowledge of process/system objectives and corporate company policies and procedures.
  • Company organizational structure knowledge is required.
  • Requires independent project, department, or company-related process work.
  • Requires independent time management skills.
  • Process milestones and objectives needed to be established and tracked.
  • Complete knowledge and understanding of systems and process is required including software and intranet, resource allocation, training and inter-dependent partnering within and outside J&J to support process activities.
  • Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level.
  • Responsible for ensuring personal and company compliance with all federal, state, local and company regulations, policies and procedures for Health, Safety and Environmental compliance.
  • Responsible for ensuring that subordinates follow all company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition
  • Essential functions of this position are;
    • Directing and administering R&D Contracts and processes-60%
    • Directing and administering R&D systems and processes-20%
    • Coordinate with R&D management and Cross Functional leaders (Legal, PM, QA, MA, RA, GSM, Supply Chain) to support project and contract status updates-15%
    •  Interact with R&D customers to maintain process deliverables-15%

  • Must have a minimum of 4 years R&D experience required
  • A minimum of a high school diploma required; 4 year college degree preferred
  • Must possess R&D processes and contract management experience required
  • Manage R&D and BDS contracts and corporate agreements, including standard contract preparation, negotiation, approval and administration preferred
  • Project Management skills, Project Investment Board (PIB) project and report tracking, New Process/Procedure integration, R&D Systems, Compliance Deliverables and Tracking, Financial Planning and Tracking
