The successful candidate will serve as an Analyst in support of REI Capital Markets Group’s approximate $4.0 billion structured debt portfolio.  The individual will provide financial analysis and prepare portfolio reporting, asset manage existing transactions, support team using internally developed loan management system, and assist with monthly remittance review and special projects.  The Analyst will focus on both new products and existing structured debt products/transactions such as Warehousing Lines of Credit, Loan on Loan Financing, Subscription Secured Lines of Credit, and Secured Credit Facilities.  The position will be located in the Investments Headquarters at One MetLife Way, Whippany, NJ.


As the Analyst becomes more familiar with CMG products, he/she can begin to help the due diligence process for new loan purchases, existing loan future fundings and/or pay downs (full repurchase) and partial pay downs, including the coordination of diligence teams, analysis of cash flows and underwriting, various sensitivity analytics, and lease/estoppel selection and review.  Ensure all required business and legal purchase docs are final, executed, and delivered prior to closing.



  • Provide analytical, reporting and administrative support for the Capital Markets Group (“CMG”).
  • Assist the Sr. CMG Warehouse Facility Reps with ad hoc client requests, loan administration/modifications and financial analytics requested from time to time.
  • Complete quarterly compliance reviews (facility, guarantor, and assets compliance covenants).  Analyze covenant trends and report any issues / concerns.
  • Responsible for inputting and monitoring new and existing loan purchases via the Warehouse Asset Management excel repository.
  • Manage billing and monthly remittance reviews (including Receipts & Disbursements ‘R&D d/b’ processing).
  • Manage loan level reporting (Warehouse Asset Management excel repository).


  • Bachelor’s degree in real estate finance, economics, or related finance major; MBA preferred
  • Strong qualitative and quantitative skills.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to perform ad-hoc asset management in an accurate and complete manner.
  • Strong computer skills; Advanced Excel proficiency preferred
  • Team player with strong work ethic and excellent time management skills
