The Community Banking (CB) Risk and Compliance division is seeking a highly motivated individual to serve as an Analytic Consultant on the CB Complaints Management team. This position will report to the CB Group Complaints Analytics and Systems Architecture Manager. The Complaints Management Team is charged with administering a CB-level Complaint Management Program across all CB lines of business (LOBs) in adherence with Corporate Complaints Management Policy requirements and guidance administered by the Corporate Complaints Oversight Group (COG). Though CB has primary ownership for deposit-related products and services (among others it manages), CB is a servicing channel for almost all products and services across Wells Fargo with 20+ contact centers, digital channels and over 6,200+ branches.

This position is responsible for providing critical Community Bank executive-level and line of business reporting and data analytics for the Complaints Program. There is impact to any potential audits and exams, both from internal auditors and external regulatory examiners. This position will provide input and strategic insight to ensure the transformation of data results in timely and actionable reporting. Such reporting will assist leaders in decision-making relative to Community Bank products, services and process improvements that will positively impact both customers and team members. The Analytic Consultant will leverage technical analytics tools and metrics to identify complaint trends and measure the success of complaint-related remediation activities as it relates to process improvement and business initiatives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify, research and recommend internal and external data sources, compile/mine data from multiple, cross business sources;
  • Recommend and participate in the development of complex analysis designs using statistical and/or financial analysis, predictive modeling, process documentation, comparative analysis, customer/demographic analysis, etc.;
  • Create, execute and document complex queries from multiple sources, involving both structured and unstructured data elements.
  • Work with key data owners across Community Banking to understand, source, and integrate new, insightful data.
  • Provide meaningful and actionable analytics on data spanning across multiple Community Bank lines of business and systems of record.
  • Interpret and present metrics, reporting, analyses and recommendations to management within Risk Management and across Community Bank Lines of Business.
  • Communicate with lines of business to share and discuss monthly and quarterly results and obtain qualitative commentary on CB-level reporting from lines of business.
  • Ensure adherence to data management regulations and policies.
  • Identify research, understand and implement data from across WF data environment to improve analysis and provide insightful complaints analysis relative to operational volume.
  • Translate data and analysis into insight, knowledge and understanding of the Community Banking business(s).
  • Proactively provide data and analysis in support of anticipated audits/exams, litigation.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of reporting experience, analytics experience, or a combination of both; or a BS/BA degree or higher in a quantitative field such as applied math, statistics, engineering, physics, accounting, finance, economics, econometrics, computer sciences, or business/social and behavioral sciences with a quantitative emphasis and 3+ years of reporting experience, analytics experience, or a combination of both
  • 2+ years of experience with SAS or SQL, or other data management, reporting and query tools

  • Knowledge and understanding of data visualization
  • Ability to consult, build, and maintain solid working relationships in and outside of immediate department
  • Ability to research anomalies in data sets
  • Ability to research, compile, and present critical operational data in executive summaries
  • Ability to strategically analyze data and diagnose opportunities and interventions
  • Ability to prepare management level presentations
  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access) skills
