In this role, you will partner with the various functional teams which drive StubHub’s Concerts and Theater businesses (Marketing, Supply, and Partnerships, among others), leading analytics efforts and enabling decision making in support of StubHub’s Concerts and Theater General Manager. This position will work to ensure that analytics and data capabilities are successfully driving growth and increasing market share relative to competition. A successful candidate will use statistical analysis & reporting tools, a deep understanding of Concerts & Theater and StubHub’s competitive landscape, strong business and strategic acumen, and process improvement & operational excellence techniques to provide objective insights across all parts of the customer experience and raise the level of analytical thinking across StubHub’s Concerts and Theater business team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Drive analytical insights across StubHub’s Concerts & Theater businesses, evaluating and identifying key areas of opportunity and action across the company. Deliver the analysis as well as the development, rationalization, and socialization of business cases.
  • Partner and align with a number of different departments across StubHub’s Concerts & Theater cross-functional team to achieve success relative to shared goals, including but not limited to: marketing, supply & fulfillment, customer service, corporate strategy, partnerships, and product & technology streams. Connect with these groups to define measureable objectives and work towards meeting those objectives through delivery of data-based insights.
  • Perform deep dive analytics to unpack prevailing business trends

Other job requirements:

  • Strong quantitative background, with deep understanding of basic statistical concepts.
  • 5+ years’ experience in an analytical and/or quantitative capacity, with demonstrated growth in both responsibility and ability to drive successful outcomes with business partners.
  • Ability to concisely and effectively communicate findings and recommendations across various departments within the business. Must be capable of working in cross-functional and cross-cultural teams, and be able to communicate technically intricate concepts/results in business terms.
  • Strong Excel modeling experience and familiarity addressing business problems through fact-based and scientific analytics.
  • Must have excellent analytical/problem solving skills, including ability to query databases (SQL, Hive etc.), sort through complex data and drive business decision making.
  • Passion for music/theater/entertainment/ticketing business and technology, with previous experience within this space considered a strong plus.
