SPECIFIC ELEMENTS AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS*

1 Manages all angiographic equipment including film changers, power injectors, etc. in order to obtain quality images.

2 Complies with radiation safety guidelines. Operates angiographic equipment safely

3 Demonstrates the ability to perform all necessary computer operations

4 Render patient care in a professional and courteous manner

5 Prepare equipment and perform quality control tests

6 Utilizes independent judgment and competence with regard to assisting the radiologist in all procedural aspects

7 Reviews each exam for technical accuracy and identifies anatomical orientation on all images

8 Demonstrates willingness to assist in additional duties

9 Completes and maintains educational requirements

Qualifications:
EXPERIENCE

REQUIRED:

PREFERRED: Training and experience in special procedures

EDUCATION

REQUIRED: Responsible for continuing education credits as mandated by the ARRT for license. Graduate of AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology

PREFERRED:

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION : (Required or Preferred)

American Registry of Radiologic Technology (required)

ARRT Certification - Cardiovascular/Interventional (preferred)

American Society of Radiologic Technology (preferred)

Virginia Society of Radiologic Technology (preferred)

IV certification (required)

Current CPR certification (required)
