• 5 - 7 years' work experience in a applications support role, with broad understanding of computing architecture and relational databases, with a history of successful experience with manufacturing / ERP systems • Effective skills in analytical thinking including Problem Solving, Root Cause Analysis, Business Requirements, Change Management, Risk Management principles . • Participates in the requirements gathering, requirements analysis, design, code, test and maintenance phases of software product development • Knowledge and working experience with understanding business process flows, especially useful in the manufacturing industry • Ability to write specifications for business requirements and design IT systems and components that meet these requirements, ensuring quality, efficiency, compatibility with existing IT systems and networks, and compliance with the relevant regulations responsible for planning application system upgrades, installation of new releases, and migration to new systems • Ability to communicate effectively across various levels of the organization, strong written and oral communication skills • Knowledge and working experience with application level patch management and defining upgrade paths for COTS products • Strong customer service skills. • Computer literacy in various software applications. (i.e. - Word, Excel, Adobe, Visio, Access, MS Project) • Demonstrate organizational and project management skills, participates in estimation and project planning activities, maintaining project deadlines • Demonstrated successful application life cycle management (SDLC) including solution design, development, implementation and production support • Experience with EDI mapping desirable • Experience with reading and writing scripting languages a plus • Familiarity in writing running SQL stored procedures. Understand the concepts behind Search Engine Optimization (SEO), content management, customer relation management, and enterprise resource planning • Proficient in SQL, SSRS with the ability to create and modify reports • Previous experience with implementing new software and administrating systems is a strong advantage • Provide support to business users and investigate data discrepancies and application errors, and propose modifications and enhancements to existing applications to improve their functionality or address any issues that arise
