As a member of the Retail GBU Security Team you will be an essential component in the Oracle Software Security Assurance (OSSA) program. You will work with multiple application development teams to advise and assist their secure programming activities and to monitor compliance with OSSA directives. This position involves independent research, tool development, threat modeling, and application analysis/review.
Work tasks involve
-- Creating tools, scripts, and processes involved with security testing and security program management.
-- Working with application development teams: reviewing application implementations, designs, and architecture; analyzing reported security vulnerabilities and weaknesses; communicating security standards; educating developers on tool adoption, best practices, and processes.
Work is non-routine involving the application of secure application development skills. A preferred candidate will be an are experienced software developer and understand secure programming fundamentals. A security certification, such as CISSP or CSSLP, is also preferred but not required. Candidate must be able to effectively communicate technical ideas and specifications.
Analyze, design develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for commercial or end user applications. Writes code, completes programming and performs testing and debugging of applications.
As a member of the software engineering division, you will analyze and integrate external customer specifications. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture. Build new products and development tools. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to discuss major changes to functionality.
Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.
