The Oracle Utilities product architecture group sits at a crucial interface between the Oracle Utilities product managers and the Oracle Utilities product development organization. As a member of this group, you will be presented with the challenge of understanding business drivers while also questioning them to elucidate the "true" problem, then designing elegant software solutions that are cost-effective, upgradeable, sales-worthy, translatable, and explainable to a world-wide consulting organization and global implementation partners. Our group also assists the pre-sales team as needed, contributes significantly to the analysis of application performance, plays a major role in documentation for training, provides post-release training to select field and pre-sales team members, and creates demonstration data to showcase our products. We work on a variety of utility industry products, including enterprise applications, business intelligence applications, and integration applications, spanning technical and functional aspects of the software.

We are looking for a product architect with at least 3 years' experience in designing and implementing Work & Asset Management systems such as Maximo and Infor.
Analyze, design develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for commercial or end user applications. Writes code, completes programming and performs testing and debugging of applications.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will analyze and integrate external customer specifications. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture. Build new products and development tools. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to discuss major changes to functionality.

Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.
