The Architect is a member of the broader enterprise architecture team within MetLife. The architect is responsible for the stewardship of the global Enterprise Architecture governance processes, and technology portfolio management. The architect should possess strong capability to connect business concepts to applied technological solutions and then communicate them to all levels within the organization.

The architect will collaborate with architects, developers, vendor management, IT Risk & Security, Infrastructure and Business personnel across all levels of the organization. The architect should be able to effectively communicate architectures, solution architectures and architecture concepts to both business and technology stakeholders. 

The architect is required to collaborate with other architects, engineers, operations, developers, etc. to ensure integrity of assigned domain or solution. 




  • Custodian of the MetLife Technology Software and Hardware assets
  • Architect projects as needed
  • Execute the Enterprise Architecture governance processes along with other staff governance leads
  • Execute the process for the roadmaps and Future State Architectures (FSAs)
  • Provides leadership in the area of developing standards, architectural governance and IT best practices
  • Broad understanding of multiple industry technologies
  • Uses their technical knowledge and expertise to develop horizontal, innovative technology solutions that meet the needs of the business
  • Keeps abreast of current industry trends
  • Communicate strategies effectively


  • Good communication and inter-personal skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline

  • Self-motivated

  • Problem-solver

  • 1-2 years of IT experience,

  • Preferred skills: Coding skills, Architecture skills, exposure to processes & methodologies.
