The Area Sales Manager will be responsible to actively sell to and manage Chemguard branded foam systems sales through Distribution / Contractors, A&E firms, etc. within the assigned region. The Area Sales Manager will have responsibility for achieving sales and goals for the territory . This position will home office in the Northeastern / mid central portion of the US. ie; Philadelphia, NY, NJ, Baltimore, Cleveland, Chicago, etc.. Other suitable locations will be considered with a significant nearby airport.
Performs required actions to acquire new business within territory
Achieve sale closures on terms that are mutually satisfactory to the Customer and Tyco both with existing and new customers
Develop ongoing plans and detailed actions to achieve business growth opportunities
Build and maintain good relationships with customers to ensure 100% account retention . Be a business consultant to the customer; identify value add to the customer
Provide market intelligence about product opportunities that will grow sales
Significant daily and/or overnight travel is required in this position
Use of Salesforce .com to document and track activities/projects in region
Preferred candidates will have sales experience in similar or related products within the fire protection products segment. Additional knowledge related to the whole process of fire suppression and the market is extremely helpful.
Knowledge of fire - fighting foam agents, fire protection systems / equipment, and / or similar related products
Exceptional knowledge of sales techniques and ability to close sales
Understanding of contractor / distribution sales of foam systems to the marketplace desired.
Excellent ethics, values and presentation of same to current and potential customers
Ability to work independently to achieve sales results within an organized structure
Demonstrated previous performance growing sales in assigned area
