The role of the Partnerships Brand Creative team is to develop marketing communications (from acquisitions to customer management strategies), across a variety of print and online channels, to support all of our Partner brands—from high-end retail to more everyday furniture. Capital One needs a talented, versatile Art Director to be a part of our small-but-mighty in-house Creative Team. We’re part of a tight-knit group, so you’ll need a good sense of humor, a strong work ethic, thick skin and, oh yeah, a portfolio that shows strategically-grounded and insight-driven work.
You will work directly with a Copywriter and Creative Director to develop communications. You must have a strong understanding of both print and web, and be proficient in Adobe CS 5+. In addition, you must have strong communication skills and be able to manage your own workload to achieve tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. You should be a student of emerging innovations, in both the print and digital arena.
We’re in Richmond, VA, but you’ll get a chance to work with other Copywriters, Art Directors, and Creative Directors based in Chicago, IL, on diverse projects.
–Develop creative strategies and create collateral materials for customer-, prospect- & associate-facing creative including, but not limited to: landing pages, e-mails, web banners, logos, direct mail, advertisements, and posters
–Work closely with Brand Strategists to understand the projects and deliver quality solutions
–Present your work with rock-solid rationales; be passionate enough to advocate for your choices, and confident enough to incorporate feedback from others to make it even stronger
–Build files that can be flawlessly executed, no matter the channel
–Become an expert of our Partner brands
- High school diploma, GED, equivalent certification or military experience
- At least 2 years of experience in design, layout and illustration
- Bachelor’s Degree in Communication, Advertising or Graphic Arts
- At least 5 years of experience in design, layout and illustration
