Job Duties • Assemblers typically work in a team environment, reading instructions and assembling products or pieces of products. This can include testing sub-assembled parts before doing their required assembly. After the assembly is completed, assemblers then move the piece or product to the next phase in the manufacturing process. Assemblers are normally required to keep their work station neat and orderly, and properly store and maintain production parts, tools, test equipment and documentation. Also must perform other duties directed by the supervisor. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Working Conditions • The work environment is a typical factory environment. Noise levels are reasonable and hearing protection is not required. Buildings are not typically air conditioned but many fans circulate air. Protective eye gear, safety shoes and gloves are typically required.


Skill Requirements
• Excellent manual dexterity is an important part of an assembler's ability, as some assembly can require working with small, detailed objects. Assemblers are required to meet daily production goals. Experience in manufacturing is required

Educational Requirements
• Assemblers are normally required to have their high school diploma or GED, as well as good reading and math skills.
