In this role, you will use a variety of mechanical skills on equipment to ensure unit functions according to specifications or to determine condition / serviceability of the unit.
In the role of Assembly Technician you will:
+ Assemble equipment according to procedures & drawing specifications by reading drawings and following instructions
+ Read calipers, gauges, micrometers & other measuring tools
+ Assemble components using the proper equipment and techniques, in accordance with the work instruction & procedures
+ Assemble various configurations of components to corresponding assembly prints utilizing available tooling, gauging and equipment
+ Verify that assembled components meet GE Oil & Gas Pressure Control quality guidelines
+ Keep equipment in well working condition - perform scheduled maintenance
+ Keep all working areas safe and free of debris and oil
+ Comply with all EHS requirements
+ High School Diploma / GED from an accredited school or institution
+ Minimum 1 year of experience with pressure control equipment ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
+ Work overtime, weekends and holidays, as required
+ Work in a constant pushing, pulling, lifting, stretching, bending and other physical activities
+ Be in the shop environment a minimum of 8 hours per day, primarily standing and sitting, as required
+ Lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
+ Be subjected to extreme heat for extended periods of time
+ Basic computer skills
+ Self-motivated and team player
+ Prior testing, assembly, or electrical experience
+ Previous experience in the Oil industry
+ Mechanically inclined
+ Knowledge of hand tools / air tools
+ Previous Manufacturing experience
+ Strong problem solving skills
