Adecco is currently assisting one our top technology driven manufacturing clients who is seeking an experienced Assembly Technician, at their Southbridge, MAlocation. Our client's main areas of focus are specialty materials for the household appliance industry, pharmaceutical packing, optics and opto-electronics, information technology, consumer electronics, lighting, automotive engineering and solar energy. This Assembly Technician position is a Direct Hire opportunity. The purpose of this opening is to provide electrical support to Manufacturing or Engineering in improvement of existing products and development of new products. Responsibilities for the Assembly Technician position include: • Engineering Support Work with Engineering and Sales department to fulfill specific customer applications. Build and experiment with prototypes of new products to perform test measurements using various test equipment. Establish test procedures for new products base on industry standards. • Manufacturing Support Provide support to Electronic assembly to generate product, design, determine costs and make other related improvements. Test products per customer's specifications. Work with components or existing products to improve, modify, and repair nonconforming product. Monitor and examine returned materials. Interface with Quality and Logistics regarding nonconforming parts. • Engineering Documentation Prepare and maintain engineering documentation to current revision. Develop and document procedures for product assembly. • Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Ensure adherence to EHS laws and company policies. Take action against observed violations. Participate in EHS audits. • Internal Contacts Interface with Engineering and members of other departments regarding product development and repair. • Key User for MRP System Maintain process descriptions for MRP module. Train new hires on module. Ensure that module runs consistently. • Planning Participate in budget planning. Knowledge & Skills: ISO Required Training: Elements QM01 - Sec. 4.0; QM01 - Sec. 4.2; QM01 - Sec. 5.0; QM01 - 6.2; QM01 - Sec. 7.0; QM01 - Sec. 7.2; QM01 - Sec. 7.3; QM01 - Sec. 7.4; QM01 - Sec. 7.5; QM01 - Sec. 7.6; QM01 - Sec. 8.0; QM01 - Sec. 8.2; QM01 - Sec. 8.3; QM01 - Sec. 8.4; QM01 - Sec. 8.5; QM01 - Sec. 12.0. Education and Training: Bachelor's Degree in Electronics or manufacturing technology preferred. Experience: More than 5 years of previous progressively responsible manufacturing experience required Additional Knowledge Requirements: Experience with Microsoft Office required
