This role provides primary responsibility to ensure high quality and timeliness of input into the asset, i.e. hardware and/or software, tracking database(s); provides process documentation and training activities as necessary; and ensures audit-readiness of all processes, tasks, and activities.
Activity responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, interface with Support Team organizations; monitoring of processes, data flows, and data repositories to ensure assets' data elements are being collected, handled, stored, and reported accurately; performance of timely asset data updates to maintain accuracy of database repository(ies); identifying possible asset discrepancies and managing discrepancy resolution process to closure; procedure and process documentation; and asset reporting and measurements.
The core function of the Asset Management Analyst role is to protect IBM and our clients from the potential financial and legal exposures of Software (SW) noncompliance while minimizing SW spend.
