Primary Objective and Purpose: To drive pipeline development, deal strategy, and territory maintenance in the pursuit of sales goal attainment
  • Provide direct support to Sales Representatives in assigned territory
  • Work in partnership with Sales Representatives to successfully develop and execute business plan for territory
  • Acts as primary point of contact with internal partners in order to effectively execute business plan (i.e. Business Review, Request for Proposal, Investments, Finance, Marketing, Compliance)
  • Collaborates with pricing and investments on initial strategy and positioning of investment and fees
  • Drives deal underwriting and strategy by thorough due diligence and deal evaluation
  • Develop and maintain strong intermediary and plan sponsor relationships to identify pipeline opportunities via concentrated calling/emailing efforts and strategic marketing initiatives
  • Serves as project lead for all Request for Proposals, pricing requests, presentations, and site visits
  • Participates in presentations and site visits, as needed; in addition to internal mock presentations for professional development
  • Creates comprehensive deal briefing and participates in finals and post win strategy sessions
  • Conduct industry/competitive research including analysis and industry trends against the current retirement environment
  • Maintain/update sales opportunity information in centralized database to ensure quality of sales reporting, commissions, compliance and data governance
  • Monitors 800 line
  • Support ad hoc projects, as needed

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of financial services experience, preferably in the Retirement Industry
  • Motivated, self-starter, ability to work independently and creatively, thrives in a Sales Support environment
  • Must be highly organized, detail oriented, proactive and resourceful
  • Demonstrated ability to perform multiple tasks and achieve superior results in a Sales support environment
  • Excellent partnering, influencing and negotiation skills
  • Willingness to take on stretch assignments with an open minded and innovative approach
  • Outstanding communication skills (verbal, written and presentation)
  • FINRA Series 6, 63 and life licensing are required within 120 days after hire date
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
